In this two-part excursion, we start by attending a Perfume Discovery Workshop where you will find gorgeous, uniquely shaped bottles that house a myriad of handmade scents. The workshop starts with a 20-minute introductory speech about the basics of perfume by a perfume master who will bring you on a sensory indulging experience before you will be taught to differentiate between perfume oil concentrates. Then, we go on an InstaWalk – the first and only Instagram tour of Singapore’s Civic District to capture black & white buildings and explore areas with a multitude of colours!

First, experience a local’s daily marketing life by making a trip to the local wet market to buy ingredients for a cooking class. Then, stop by a rustic traditional coffee shop to have a taste of traditional “Singapore coffee”. All we can tell you is that it’s not your average Starbucks! Next up, learn to whip a dish or two of Singapore’s local delicacies and get to taste your own rendition of Singapore food for lunch. After lunch, cruise on a bumboat along the Singapore River and experience a ride where modernity meets history!

Description:

Participate in “Chinatown Murders”, a game tour of Chinatown. A serial killer is on the loose and the whole nation is gripped with fear. Participants have to find the killer by solving a series of puzzles around Chinatown while learning stories about the characters who used to live in Chinatown.

 

Then, after the killer has been found, head to a Chinese Tea appreciation session, where you will learn about Chinese culture, arts, and the history of tea. By the end of the workshop, you will know how to recognise the various kinds of tea leaves and equipment, how to prepare Chinese Tea the traditional way, and how tea benefits your health.

AFP-04 The Ultimate Singapore Food Journey

On this excursion, you will get to visit a local hawker center to get a taste of the best hawker dishes, learn about local ingredients and how these ingredients are used in local cuisine at a local wet market, go behind the scenes of a family-run shop to see how curry-puffs are made, get a hands-on lesson in popiah rolling (and eating). This is not called The Ultimate Singapore Food Journey for nothing!

 

In the afternoon, cruise on a bumboat along the Singapore River and experience a ride where modernity meets history.

The Singapore Sling, which is widely regarded as the country’s national drink, was first created in 1915 at Raffles Singapore by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon. You will get to enjoy the most famous cocktail in town in the Long Bar of Raffles Hotel!
