Travelling to Singapore: A How-To Guide

Q1 Do I need a visa for entry into Singapore?
A visa may be required to enter Singapore for non-Singapore citizens. It is the responsibility of Participants to ensure that passports, travel documents and visas are valid for travel. We would advise you to allow sufficient time to make your own enquiries or check with your travel agent. For a list of countries that require a valid Visa for entry into Singapore, you can check the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)’s website, or enquire at the Singapore Overseas Mission closest to you.

Q2 How do I obtain an Visa invitation letter?
If you require any assistance in obtaining an invitation letter to apply for a visa or in other matters, please contact [hyperlink to form to do invitation letter] our Secretariat and they will assist.

Q3 How do I check for period of stay granted?
You’ll find this on the visit pass endorsement in your passport.

Q4 Are there any documents that I need to fill in upon arrival?
After clearing immigration, you should fill in your SG Arrival Card before leaving your departure point. You can visit the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website to submit your arrival information. This can be done up to three days before your visit.

Q5 Are there any convenient services I can use when departing from Singapore?
Travellers who are eligible for automated immigration may use the enhanced Automated Clearance System (eIACS). While this service usually extends to Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Long Term Pass Holders and Work Pass Holders, frequent travellers to Singapore may be eligible for it under the ICA’s Frequent Traveller Programme.
