It’s a powerful reminder that we have the ability to make a positive impact on the environment and reduce our footprint. 💚 Let’s rethink how we consume and dispose of things – look out for recycling bins at the Level 4 Sands Expo and Convention Centre where you can dispose of recyclable materials such as paper and plastic items.

The session is open to all delegates (male and female). It focuses on basic techniques that can be attempted by anyone, at any time. No yoga mat is required, it can be done anywhere sitting on the floor or a chair. Participants are advised to dress comfortably (loose clothing).

We are delighted to have some members of the Orchid Society of South East Asia join us to share their knowledge about orchids, and there will be time for ladies to mix and mingle together. If you were not able to pre-register for the Women in APAA event and still wish to attend, please do come along*. 🎭 Cultural Evening | Gardens by the Bay Get ready for a cultural extravaganza. Cultural Evening will be set in one of the most iconic attractions in Singapore – the Gardens by the Bay. Welcome to APAA 2023!Dear Participants of APAA 2023, The APAA-Singapore Group is honoured to host the 20th APAA General Assembly and 74th & 75th Council Meetings in Singapore in November 2023. The last time the APAA meeting was held in Singapore was 15 years ago, back in 2008, and we welcome APAA members, observers and friends from around the world to experience Singapore once We have been hard at work to ensure that we offer you an excellent conference and experience in Singapore. We have secured Singapore’s most iconic venue, Marina Bay Sands, for our conference and promise you a truly unique and interesting conference experience. On the programme front, we have worked with APAA HQ to deliver topical, useful and interesting content, and explore academic sessions with other international IP organisations such as WIPO. We have also curated an exciting excursion programme which caters to diverse interests, whether it be culture, heritage, nature or the outdoors. 3 November 2023 | 15:30-17:30 [NON-APAA] Presentation and Site Visit at Maxwell Chambers Jointly hosted by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) and Maxwell Chambers for all APAA conference participants. There will be a presentation and site visit at Maxwell Chambers, introducing the international dispute resolution options and facilities available in Singapore for international and cross-border disputes. The Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) will also be participating. Minh-di Tang, Ambassador of France to Singapore, and the French Patent and Trademark Attorneys Institute (CNCPI) have extended an invitation to APAA conference participants to a cocktail reception at the French Embassy of Singapore on 2nd of November at 4.00 PM to 6 :00 PM. This cocktail is a special occasion to introduce the new Unified Patent Court.

To ensure your trip is smooth and enjoyable, we want to provide you with a handy checklist of travel essentials. Please take some time to read the following advisory and instructions.
1🎫 Travel Documents
✔️ Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned return date. ✔️ Ensure you comply with the prevailing Entry Requirements. You can find out more from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) here. ✔️ Ensure you submit your SG Arrival

Carry a reusable water bottle, and we encourage you to choose green💚. ✔️ There are no longer any COVID-19 measures for travellers arriving in Singapore from 13 Feb 2023, regardless of vaccination status or traveller profile. ✔️ If you have visited any country at risk of Yellow Fever transmission in the six (6) days prior to arrival in Singapore, you will be required to produce an International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever. Details are available here. ✔️ Pack any necessary medications or personal health items. However, be sure to check out the requirements for bringing in personal medications (here) when travelling to Singapore, as you may need to apply for approval to bring in medications.

This will introduce the international dispute resolution options and facilities available in Singapore for international and cross-border disputes.
The Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) will also be participating.

Reserve your seat at the Gala Dinner:
APAA 2023 will draw to a close in style with the Gala Dinner. The glitzy evening will be an event to remember. To reserve your seat or form a table with your friends and colleagues, please use the online reservation portal below.
Reserve your seat before 1 November 2023
Online reservation will close on 1 November 2023. Thereafter, Gala Dinner seating requests can be made in person on-site from 3 November 2023, 13:00 SGT until 5 November 2023, 17:00 SGT, during the operating hours of Gala Dinner
helpdesks.
Sign up for Roundtable Sessions:
There are 10 roundtable sessions, covering a range of topics, which will be held on 4, 5 and 7 November 2023.
There are limited table seats at each session open to conference participants. To be assigned a table seat at your preferred session, please follow the registration instructions on the Conference Hub. Seats are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. If you are assigned a seat, please attend the entire session. If you are assigned a seat but cannot attend, please let us know early so we can offer your seat to someone else. As table seats are limited each participant is encouraged to register for just 1 session.
Standing Participants Access:
Even if you don’t have an assigned seat, you are welcome to observe the roundtable sessions. There will be some additional seating and standing spaces available at each session. Feel free to interact and move between roundtables to explore different topics.
New Meeting Point and Availability Hours Added:
Please note that a new Meeting Point 4 is now available. In addition, new availability timings for Meeting Points 1 and 2 have been added on 3 November 2023 (Friday). Please refer to the updated Meeting Points and timings here.

Dear APAA 2023 Members and Observers,
Thank you for your overwhelming support for APAA 2023!
Early Bird Registration has closed, but you can still register for the conference at the standard registration rate. Please note that registration will close at 23:59 on 23 August 2023 (SGT) or once we reach our maximum capacity. There will be no on-site registration at the conference.
To avoid disappointment, we would advise that you register now for one of the limited remaining spots available. Registration will automatically close when maximum capacity is reached.
If you have already registered with pending payment, please ensure full payment is received by 23:59 on 15 August 2023 (SGT) to confirm your registration.

Dear Observers,
As you know, Early Bird Registration for Observers opened on 25 May 2023.
We have been receiving various queries from observers and therefore share the following FAQs below, which you may find helpful:
Q: Can I register more than one observer from my Firm?
A: Yes, you can! This year, APAA allows more than one APAA-registered Observer from each Firm. However, each Observer must have their own Observer ID, and they cannot use the Observer ID of a colleague. If you do not know whether you have an Observer ID, you can approach the Conference Managers at registration@apaa2023.com, who will check the database.
Q: Are Observer ID’s transferable?
A: No, they are not.
Q: How do I apply for an Observer ID?
A: The procedure can be found at this link: https://apaaonline.org/membership/observers/. Applications for Observer ID are made through APAA HQ.
Q: I see an approximate USD equivalent of the registration fee on the website. Can I pay the registration fee according to this USD figure?
A: No. The registration fee will be charged in SGD. USD rates are indicative only. When making remittance payments, please ensure that the SGD amount is remitted.
Q: Does APAA bear the bank charges for remittances?
A: No, all bank/remittance charges and any associated charges should be borne by registrants. That includes the bank charges at the Singapore end as well.
The deadline for Early Bird registration has been extended to 23 July 2023 at 23:59 (SGT), from its original date of 23 June, as announced on 21 June 2023.
Do take advantage of the Early Bird for significant cost savings! Registration will also entitle you to preferential rates for selected hotels on a first-come, first-served basis.
